From the window to the walls… but first, let’s start with floors.
Can I just say that I really appreciate that our builder and his wife send us updates from the house as things arrive and are worked on? Remember when you would get a letter from your boyfriend and it was SO exciting? Like you needed to go somewhere quiet and alone to dig into the contents awaiting you in that envelope.
Well… That’s how I feel when I see her photos come through. It makes my heart beat just a little bit faster when I see those notifications come through.
When I say that things have been anti-climatic up to this point, I really do mean it. Patience wins this game- or, at least, keeps your sanity. We are now one year into finding our little house in Normandy, and the timeline has been a bit like this:
October 2023: First see listing for the house
November 2023: Put offer on House. Offer negotiated and accepted.
December 2023: Notaire does a little bit of work on our house. Closes for holidays, so it all pauses. Connect with recommended builder in area.
